The climate of Boston is continental, with hot summers and very cold winters. The weather in Boston is, however, full of surprises, subject to rapidly changing conditions all year round: wide temperature variations can occur in the space of a couple of days, and unseasonal snowfalls have been known. The loveliest season in Boston is early autumn, when the weather is clear and warm, and the countryside resplendent with gorgeous fall foliage.
